Inspired Market Research was established in November 2012, bringing together a collective of consumer insights professionals with decades of experience and expertise working across multiple sectors and industries. The company's origins date back to the consumer research division of A.C. Nielsen (a major Oxford-based market research agency) and several members of the current Inspired team have worked together since leaving Nielsen in the early 90s.

At its heart, Inspired is an insights agency which tells stories rooted in data that inspire conversations and arouse curiosity.

The company is headquartered near Oxford, England, but also has a  call centre facility based in Newport, South Wales.
